(More customer reviews)I previously used box fans which were very loud, always tipping over, never blowing high enough to reach your face so you had to lean them back, and they always seem to be in your way because they are so wide.
These vertical fans are fantastic!They are whisper quiet (really!), and since they are vertical, they have very little footprint so they aren't in your way, and if you get one tall enough (and 48" is about as tall as they get!) it blows high enough for you to feel it.
If you want a fan that really keeps you cool and is QUIET and much less conspicuous, then get this fan.
