Probably only a fan would be needed to make the small room more comfortable, but what kind of fan would it be? We'd been thinking about something that might stand on the dresser, but that might be somewhat inconvenient. Then one day, we were shopping in our local Costco Warehouse store and came upon a display of Seville Classic Tower Fans. It seemed a perfect solution. It's narrow base and tower for would fit perfectly in a small part of the room between the glide rocker and the crib.
Assembly was easy. It took less than ten minutes from out of the box to operational. We prefer the oscillating mode of operation and it nicely stirs the air of the entire room. It doesn't lower the temperature level, of course, but it definitely makes the room seem more comfortable. We particularly like the timer. We can set it when the baby goes to sleep and it automatically turns off after the specified interval. Operation is simple and straight forward.
The fan is quiet and non-intrusive. We can hardly tell it is on, but can easily feel the refreshing breeze throughout the room. About the only thing we don't like about the fan is that it wobbles about somewhat on the narrow base. At first, I though I might not have tightened the base on securely enough, but it just has a somewhat flimsy plastic base and there's no way to correct the problem.
