(More customer reviews)This fan is not especially quiet. It measures 64 decibels at one meter directly below it in a large bathroom (Radio Shack analog DB meter, A weighted). Not a a huge racket, but not a whisper either. It also doesn't seem to move much more air than my old fan, which had a smaller blower and 3" duct (this one has a clear 4" duct right through the roof - you'd think it would do better with a big duct like that). Overall it's very ordinary fan - certainly not worth the premium price.

It was a huge pain to install too, with a "snap off" vent assembly that didn't "snap" back on, and gibberish instructions. Just ignore the directions and do what makes sense and you'll get it in.

I got this from "The Price Pros", who apparently no longer sell it. Two other fans in the order had 3x5 oval vents instead of 3" round vent as claimed. Price Pros refused to give me a refund or exchange. I'm furious with Price Pros, Panasonic, and Amazon, which should not allow crooks like Price Pros to sell on Amazon's site. This was the only fan of the three which had a round vent (4", as advertised). The other two were a total waste of over $150. This is the last time I'll ever buy a construction items online. From now on it's local hardware stores.

(More customer reviews)The fan is great and lives up to the standard Panasonic has built for whisper fans.However the instructions are vague, cover poorly new construction installs and do not work at all for retrofits.Had to basically take the unit apart to get it to fit properly and then the braces did not work at all.Had to rig up something to replace the ones supplied.I thought that perhaps I was given the wrong braces.

I am not a amateur and do a lot of moderately complex home improvements jobs but this one will rank up there as a very difficult one.

(More customer reviews)This is a great fan!I ordered two of them because the fans in my bathrooms were way too small for the size of the bathrooms.They didn't move the air at all much less pull it out and clear the bathroom of steam.These fans do that and you can actually feel the air circulating!They are at a great price too....I got mine for half of what Lowe's and Home Depot wanted for similar fans!Both of mine together with free shipping cost just a little more than one of the ones at Lowe's.I highly recommend this fan if you are looking for something to clear the steam out of the bathroom.

(More customer reviews)These are very good products, but they're designed for install in bare studs, not really to replace and existing fan unless you removed sheetrock and took out the houseing from the old fan.The great thing about it, however, is that I just took the new parts out of this one and they fit right into the old houseing.Very cool.Problem?They don't sell the guts individually so you have to buy the whole thing and then you're left with a metal sqare to recyle.
